first off i dont recognize the term wave sport. sups are legally classified as vessels. when is the last time u saw a sup get barreled, and dont say laird. spongers get tubes all the time. that right there is enough.

secondly i didnt even mention spongers in my post, i said bodysurfing, not bodyboarding. take your paddle down the beach you sportsman.

SUP is way more of a wave sport than boogie boarding dude.

its not about long vs short. its about being able to appreciate the different feelings on all types of craft and being a wave rider rather than just a longboarder or just a shortboarder. log glide is incredible. solid turns on shorter boards feel great. nothing compares to shorebreak barrels bodysurfing. there is no wrong way to ride a wave (except standing with a paddle in your hand, but thats another story) so get out there and have fun anywhere on anything. Peace!
